Teaching Schedule of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche

21-Day Arya Tara Retreat

24 March - 13 April 2017
All Day
Bir, India

For 21 days, beginning on March 24th, there will be two Tara pujas for the longevity and propagation of the Buddhadharma and to invoke protection and blessings for all dharma patrons.

The pujas, to be conducted by monks at Dzongsar Institute in Tibet and Dzongsar Khyentse Chokyi Lodro Institute in Chauntra, will each include 1,200,000 praises to Tara and be done 100,000 times.

As the Chauntra puja is a public program, there is no need for anyone to ask if they can attend.

Both pujas are totally funded. So there is no request or need for anything.

If you’re coming to Bir for the Chauntra puja, Rinpoche strongly requests that you not bring any personal gifts, as this creates so much waste. If people really wish to donate to good causes that reflect his own aspirations, Rinpoche always urges them to contribute to 84000 or Khyentse Foundation.

If those coming to Bir want to make a specific connection with this puja, they can bring a bottle of olive oil or candles. Rinpoche notes that a few good quality ones will produce the same merit as large quantities that create packing and transport problems. And if they want to make an offering during the puja, they can offer lunches, dinners or teas.

But all this is entirely optional, and it’s completely fine just to participate or offer your aspirations for the longevity and propagation of the Buddhadharma.

If you need any more help or information concerning traveling to the Tara pujas or staying in Bir, please go to the Deer Park Institute website.
