This report was received by email from Lesley Anne Patten ( wildwoman
of the Canadian steppes) November 8th 2002. We have left the entire
email exchange between Lesley, myself and the vase coordinator as
it's really quite funny.
Dear Glenn, another vase burial in Haiti, by that wildman of the
Caribbean, National Public Radio reporter, Gerry Hadden. [ who is
also a student of DJK Rinpoche's ] There are now 2 vases in Haitian
soil. I thought it was important to preface his information by telling
you he is a JOURNALIST. Because when you read the who-what-where-when-why,
you will wonder … Maybe you should give him the stern Aussie treatment
and he'll cough up more details… See correspondence below. [he did
take great pictures ! ]

Subject: RE: Haiti, picture details?
Hello, Gerry...
I got the picture, but who, what, where, when, why??
Xo- L
This is Gerry's actual report:
oh yeah! a place in the hills just outside pop, called 'gwoh-zhan'
phonetically. the grey haired guy is a voudou priest who has had
buddhist visitors before. when i explained the project he was really
psyched, as peace as you know is as rare as saffron in haiti. we
buried it under the floor of his ceremonial temple, a spot he assured
me would not be in conflict with local religious practices. the
folks around him are his family. i can get names. this was done
in late august, 2002.
why...cuz peace is good! perhaps it wasn't on an official site list,
this gwoh-zhan, but we had the opp so i went for it.
please request any other details you need. saludos gkh
