NEWS FROM SSRC

The Sea to Sky Retreat Centre has now been in operation since 1995 and has hosted a variety of events involving both Buddhist and non-Buddhist groups, as well as individual retreats. Melitis Kwong has taken over from Maggie Westhaver as the new manager of SSRC. All those involved in SSRC would like to express their deep gratitude to Maggie for her many years of hard work and her commitment to the centre.

A two-week Longchen Nyingthik ngöndro retreat took place in October 1999. Participants were not only inspired by the practice itself, but also by practising together as a sangha. Further Longchen Nyingthik ngöndro retreats are scheduled for late Spring and again in August 2000. Brochures and information about personal retreats and group events can be obtained by writing to the centre's manager, Melitis Kwong, Sea to Sky Retreat Centre, East Side Daisy Lake, Whistler, BC, V0N 1B1, Canada, by e-mailing ssrc@siddharthasintent.org or by phoning 604 932 1677.
