Selection Process
Selection of participants is at the sole discretion of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche. There are no formal prerequisites for this program, although a strong ongoing relationship with Khyentse Rinpoche is significant. Experience with sitting meditation and the preliminary practices are useful preparation. Overseas participants must hold a valid Australian residence visa and medical insurance coverage before they may be admitted to the retreat. Administrative staff provide support in acquiring visas.
The acceptance process is in four or five stages:
1.Request an "expression of interest" questionnaire from us through the email address below.2.Fill out the questionnaire and return it to us. Khyentse Rinpoche will review all returned questionnaires.
3.If invited by Khyentse Rinpoche, submit a full application to attend the retreat.
4.If your application to attend the retreat is approved by Khyentse Rinpoche, pay a nonrefundable portion of the retreat fee.
5.If you are an overseas applicant, acquire a visa (with the assistance of the retreat staff).
One may be accepted into the retreat only after completing these steps.
