This Longchen Nyingtik Ngondro practice intensive provides attendees the opportunity to deepen their realization and understanding of Buddhist practice through participation in a traditional style retreat with an accomplished vajra master, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche. Rinpoche will guide students through the ngondro practice during several meditation sessions a day according to the retreat tradition of the Longchen Nyingtik. Ngondro is the essential basis of practice in the Dzogchen tradition. Originally the Longchen Nyingtik Ngondro was revealed by Longchen Rabjam to Jigme Lingpa in a vision. Since then, the Longchen Nyingtik has been studied and practiced by most of the great Dzogchen masters until this present day. A visonary prayer of great poetic beauty, the Longchen Nyingtik Ngondro is an extraordinary method enabling a practitioner to realize the full potential of human existence.

The retreat cost is: US$270 for Chokling Tersar Foundation members and US$300 for non-members. Rangjung Yeshe Gomde (RYG) is only taking FULL PAYMENT IN ADVANCE for this retreat, (no deposits) due to the high demand for attendance. Registration at your earliest convenience is recommended. RYG requests that full payment be made by July 20th to guarantee attendance, but there is an expectation that the retreat may fill up much earlier than that. RYG can take complete registration by fax at 707-925-0201. Please fax us the information listed below and credit card information, as specified. If you prefer to call in your information, you can call between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and speak to one of their staff. Otherwise, leave a message and a member of their staff will get back to you. If you prefer to send a check, RYG recommends sending it immediately, or by overnight mail, to guarantee a place at the retreat. Please add the cost of the retreat and camping fee and include the total amount in the final payment. If a couple or group is planning to attend the event, please register individually. One last option! You can email to choklingtersar@yahoo.com with the above information, and then call/fax in your credit card information or send in your check separately. This is a bit more complicated for RYG, but do-able, if it makes life easier for you! RYG wants to make this process as seamless and efficient as possible for all! Once RYG receives payment-in-full and all registration information, they will send a confirmation note and information packet to you via regular mail and/or email. Cancellation policy: Refunds (minus $35 processing fee) will be given on requests postmarked no later than 30 days prior to the retreat. For requests postmarked up to 10 days prior to the retreat, RYG will issue a credit (minus the $35 processing fee). For requests postmarked 10 days or less prior to the beginning of the retreat, a credit less $100 will be issued. All credits must be used within one year to attend another retreat at RYG.

Camping on site is on a first-come, first-served, space-available basis. The cost is $10 per night, per person. Students attending seminars at Gomde have two choices for accommodation. Campsites exist on the retreat land, in close proximity to the temple where teachings are held. There is a bath house for campers where hot showers are available for a limited period of time each day; restrooms are portable toilets. Campsites may be reserved when registering for the event. There are also a variety of commercial motels, hotels and campsites located outside Gomde, but within close driving distance. A list of these accommodations is available at www.shedrub.org/main/CTF/index.htm. You are responsible for arranging your own accomodation. RYG regrets that they are unable to accommodate special dietary requests - with the exception of brown rice, steamed vegetables and steamed tofu. If your needs are not met with these options you will need to provide your own meals. Gomde does not have the facitliy to provide you refrigeration or storage space.
