The Compassion That Churns The Depth Of Samsara
It is said that all the infinite qualities of enlightenment are inherent within us, but that they need to be awakened and cultivated in order to manifest. Hence there is a path and the discipline of meditation.
One such path of meditation is the invocation and integration of the Great Compassionate One, Avalokiteshvara or Mahakarunika, the embodiment of compassion. Noble Avalokiteshvara vowed never to abandon sentient beings as long as samsara exists. There are innumerable practices invoking the presence of Avalokiteshvara, but this particular method is a spiritual treasure revealed by the great treasure revealer Chokgyur Lingpa (1829-1870). It is a simple but exceedingly profound method to cultivate the two supreme qualities of the path of awakening - compassion and wisdom.
Rinpoche has been coming to Canada to teach for more than 20 years, and is familiar with the situation of contemporary practitioners of Buddhism.
